WALTER MEDLICOTT, CO-FOUNDER AND PT/SPORTS COACH

My name is Walter Medlicott, and I’m the co-founder of Abs-Solute Health & Fitness.  I’m a fully qualified personal trainer and sports coach currently obtaining my National Diploma in Sport. This covers Physiology in Sport, Fitness & Training Programming, and Sports Nutrition & Injuries.

Anything sports-related has always been a passion of mine. I’ve been involved in many team and individual sports, including football, tennis, and golf. I’ve been fortunate to have England College football trials and grading in tennis; we won’t mention golf. Over the years, I’ve done all aspects of gym training, whether it’s weightlifting, CrossFit, gym classes, or cardio training.

My goal is to help you on your physical journey to achieve what you desire. This could be weight accountability, muscle building, better nutrition, or general fitness. The gym isn’t just about losing weight. As a family man, I understand you sometimes get pushed to the back of the line when it comes to your needs, so we can work at times that suit you.

EMMA HANCOCK – PT

I’m Emma, the owner of Empower Fitness. I predominantly run Small Group Personal Training sessions at Absolute Health & Fitness. I specialise in resistance training, Pilates, and calisthenics. You can usually find me hanging from a bar, chalky-handed, or on my Pilates mat!

Empower Fitness is rooted in community. It is one of my core values as a coach, and I, for one, have seen the benefits of building connections with people who lift you up and encourage you to push harder.  My sessions are for every woman. We are one regardless of age, fitness level or prior experience. You will be guided through each session, ensuring that every time you leave the gym, you feel stronger and more capable than the previous time.

If you’d like to know more about joining us, please contact me to book in for a free consultation call.

TOM ELLACOT – PT

I’m a dedicated personal trainer with years of experience in the fitness industry. With a background in competitive football, I played at a high level before transitioning into personal training after being let go from the sport. This journey has fuelled my passion for helping others achieve their fitness goals.

I am keen to listen to you and understand the goals you want to achieve, so I can tailor a plan specifically for you as an individual. Specialising in weight loss, strength building, and preparing clients for sporting competitions, I also emphasise the importance of nutrition in overall health and performance. I work closely with clients to develop personalised nutritional strategies that complement their training regimes, ensuring they not only reach their fitness goals but also nourish their bodies effectively.

DAVID MARRIOTT – PT

I’ve spent 28 years in the fitness industry, doing everything from training military recruits to making it easier for people to get out of the bath. I am a no-nonsense coach who will get you where you want to be. I’m not fluffy and not for the easily offended. I trained as a PTI in Her Majesty’s Royal Air Force and qualified as a personal trainer 28 years ago.

I am also qualified to teach most national sports. This allows me to work with sports-specific athletes to further their game, linking training and movement with their chosen sport.  I am here for progress, not for pampering. I bring a wealth of knowledge about rehab and recovery, whether sport-related or not. All I ask is that you give your best effort in our personal training sessions.

YAS STATTON – PT

My passion is helping women build strength, confidence, and consistency without extreme dietary restriction and burnout.

I started out in boxing, becoming the 2019 Amateur Boxing Alliance 60kg Champion, before transitioning into CrossFit and strength training. I have recently become a mother, training consistently throughout pregnancy and rebuilding postpartum. Now, I’m back competing and preparing for Driathlon and rowing events.

My journey has shaped how I coach. I know training isn’t always linear, life is busy and your approach needs to adapt as life does.

As a mum and former chef, I keep training and nutrition goals realistic and flexible. Developing plans that work with your life, not take it over.

Whether you’re new to the gym or just looking for some structure to your workouts, I help you build a routine you can actually stick to. Helping you feel stronger, more confident, and in control.

SCOTT BLOOMFIELD – PT

Health and fitness go beyond lifting heavy weights—they’re about moving efficiently, preventing injury, and maintaining strength for life. By combining functional movement with traditional strength training, I aim to design an effective, well-rounded training programme that helps the body adapt, builds lasting strength, improves mobility, and makes the most of your time in the gym.

This approach is always tailored to your specific goals, ensuring that your training aligns with your personal needs while maintaining a focus on long-term health and performance. Sessions are available in 1-1, 2-1 formats, with app-delivered programming also available.

LYSETTE – Registered Nutritional Therapist (DipNT, mBANT, rCNHC)

I offer one-to-one consultations (virtual or in-person) tailored to your unique needs. These include personalised nutrition, lifestyle, and supplement plans, plus the option of functional and genetic testing to uncover deeper insights into your health. My evidence-backed, holistic approach cuts through the noise to provide practical solutions that fit seamlessly into your life.
